Research has shown that women are at risk in private and public spaces, neighborhoods, communities, and large cities. There are myriad challenges women face undertake discharging responsibilities at work or other social settings making their security central and paramount.
Common forms of gender-based violence against women are:
– Domestic violence
– Sexual violence (rape, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation)
– Insecurity at home or the workplace
– Insecurity at public places including public transportation
In response to these realities, we’ve developed gender-specific training programs to help alleviate these challenges for women in our communities.
